See what Brian Ford, from Australia, told me about this:

Gday Fransisco, we met a long time ago at  F3B Worlds Kirchheim.
I was an Australain team helper, I didn't go to Finland.

Just some info. I have managed to get your Palm based timer working on my iPaq PPC using the trial emulator from here. http://styletap.com/
It seems to work OK, have you tried your application on any other PPCs. Just interested to find out.

Gracias
Brian Ford

Espen Torp testing my distance app at F3B World Championship 2003 in Germany...

Espen Torp Utilizando La aplicacion de DISTANCIA en el Mundial de F3b de 2003...

This is what the current F3B distance world record holder has to say about the program:

This program will for sure help learning to understand what to do in a split second in the distance task. I guess some teams are already using different methods of help during distance and yes it is possible to use charts and tables but this clever program will calculate your next move faster than your helper can figure it out.
We all know how hectic a distance fight can be and in these situations it is good to have some help.

The PDA ESCRIPTION:

PDA snapshots:

For program it i use a Palm Os PC Emulator becouse i don't have a Palm One. I use a daVinci Olivetti but in general they are the same hardware!!!

After few testings, my apps works fine in several compatible Palm PDA running Os version 3.5.0 or greater.

Here you can see how to see your PDA Os version:

With the "pen" push "menu" icon (left bottom one)
In the top menu, push "App" one and then "info"
In the "info" window push "Version" button
In the "Version window you can see OS version...

Well, if all is ok, you are able to load all my apps and you will have now a new app group called "FPR_Devel"
Inside it you will see each app icon you have to hit qith the pen if you want to run it...

The latest bversions of my apps is v1.2 for f3b and 1.0 for f3f

Well, i hope you will see this interesting and i wish you enjoiy it a lot...

In the Laps Decremental Timer, it is programmed for know the wind speed factor. It is possible becouse you will see that the first two laps my app will use it for calculate this and then it make this estimation with the last two laps you are flying...

Well, in the config menu you can change the Working Time you will fly between 7 or 6 minutes...

More Easy... Here you have a multi timer in which you can see Working Time, each Lap time, reLaunch time, and I think that the most important thing here you have here is the Start Timer.
It is the time you have for start the speed considering the 60s you have between you finish the launch and to start speed. This timer has programmed the Working Time Left you have and if you have less than 80s, this timer will show you the time you have for start speed thinknig you have to do a 20s speed.

Well, here you can change the Working Time in the config menu between 4 or 3 minutes.

TL 4 - Incremental Timer for Lap 4
TRelaunch - Flight Time you will have if you do a reLaunch considering you will spend 60s in be flying again  T-Start - Start Decremental Timer, this is the time left you have for start speed. This timer is programmed for tell you when you have to start if you have less than 80s of working time and thinking you have to do a 20s speed.

This App only use Page-Up and Page-Down PDA buttons
